A hyperlocal weather station in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales

St Nicholas Weather measures atmospheric conditions in the Dyffryn Basin and Ridge Slopes Special Landscape Area. We are located at 104 metres above sea level on the southern slope of the ridge, in the rolling countryside of the Vale of Glamorgan.

Our observations

The station measures temperature, wind speed and direction, humidity, atmospheric pressure, rainfall, solar radiation, and air pollution (PM2.5). We aim to align closely with WMO-No. 8 regulations.

Historical data

We have data going back to 2021. Until 2025, our data was archived by The Weather Company under ICARDI60. Post 2025, our station operates as ICARDI141 and publishes to the open source WOW-BE platform.
